About this addon

OverCat lets you customize how the in-game AddOn List categorizes addons: you can move addons around existing categories, create new categories of your own, or uncategorize all addons for a simple alphabetical addon listing.

To change which category an addon appears under, open the AddOn List from the Game Menu while logged into a character, right click on an addon or category, and use the "Override Category" submenu.

To ignore addon-suggested categories, type /overcat um on in chat. Any categorization you applied using OverCat will remain. Should you want to undo this later, type /overcat um off in chat.

Limitations

OverCat only customizes the in-game AddOn List — the one accessible while selecting a character cannot be modified by addons.

Classic does not currently support addon categories (or OverCat).
